A Nurse's Herbal Tea

Rumex Acetosella
What is it? This belongs to the buckwheat family. It is a slender smooth, sour tasting flower.
Unproven medical virtues. Traditionally used for fevers, inflammation and as a diuretic. It has been observed to break down tumors and alleviate some chronic and degenerative conditions.
Ulmus Fulva
What is it? The bark of a Elm tree.
Unproven medical virtues. It is traditionally used for sore throats, upset stomachs, indigestion, digestive problems, stomach ulcers, coughs and lung problems. It was also used as a broth for children and the elderly.
Arctium Lappa
What is it? The burdock root is a member of the thistle family. It is a common pasture weed that grows three feet tall.
Unproven medical virtues. Primarily it is used for problems in the intestine and stomach. It is a diuretic and a blood purifier. In Traditional Chinese Medicine it is used to treat ulcers, skin problems, sore throats and some types of tumors.

What is it? It is commonly known as Turkey Rhubarb, Indian Rhubarb, Chinese Rhubarb or Da-Huang.
Unproven medical virtues. It is used for digestion problems, burn treatment, skin rashes, edema, amenorrhea, abdominal pain, and a laxative effect.
